American rockets explode due to canceling the button

Representative of the US Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) yesterday confirmed that Orbital Group has pressed the button to cancel the missile Antares because it detected it did not enter orbit after leaving the launch pad.

"The missile stop system has been used," said Barron Beneski, Orbital Sciences vice president, rocket manufacturing group Antares, in an email.

Mark Kelly, NASA's retired astronaut and board member of SpaceX Technology Exploration Technology Group, said the decision was correct.

"They ordered a cancellation to ensure that the missile did not fall into the inhabited area, when it knew it would not enter orbit," CNN quoted Kelly as saying.

The missile carrying the unmanned spacecraft of the US Aeronautics Agency (NASA) was destroyed just seconds after being launched from the base in Virginia state on October 28. The explosion caused a large fire on a large scale.

Antares brought about 2.5 tons of goods including food, supplies and scientific experiments to the International Space Station (ISS). This is the third task in the plan to transport 8 batches of goods to ISS between Orbital Sciences and NASA.

NASA confirmed that the incident will not affect astronauts working on the space station, because they have all the necessities to use until March next year.
