An additional researcher was found to be a researcher of stem cells
Park Jong-hyuk - a family scientist who is a University of Pittsburgh researcher, co-authored a paper about scandal-induced germ cell work last year with recently discovered Hwang Woo-suk. Fake images in a report on stem cells taken from monkeys.
According to a Pittsburgh University spokesman, Mr. Park deliberately faked this study while working with American scientist Gerald Schatten (a partner in his previous research group Hwang) from August 2004 to May. 2-2006.
Before coming to Pittsburgh to work with Mr. Schatten, Park was a member of Hwang's research team. Mr. Schatten and some of his colleagues informed the University of Pittsburgh about Park's wrongs.
Mr. Park has not yet commented on this incident.
