Vibrant flowers in the desert wind are powerful symbols for the rebirth here, attracting many visitors to visit.

The first litmus season of the year flourishes in the desert beginning in March and April. From August, the pink flower carpet in the desert reappears in Chile's spring weather.

The director of the National Tourism Department in Atamaca said. "This year the flowers bloom twice and the intensity is unprecedented in history. We are very surprised."

It is expected that about 20,000 visitors will visit, the desert flower fields bloom beautifully until the end of November this year.

Not only fresh pink mallow flowers, more than 200 other plant species also flourish after the rain, adorn the scent of the desert.

In addition to Chile there are only two other countries in the world where flowers bloom in the desert are America and Australia.

The desert blossoms are when heavy rainfall flows to the ground, to the seeds that are in a "sleeping" state and cause them to sprout, grow well and bloom.

The Atacama Desert is located in northern Chile, between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes Mountains, which feature contrasting terrains such as rocky hills, volcanoes and stretching sand dunes. Atacama has an area of ​​about 181,300m ² , recorded by Guinness World Records, NASA and the American Geological Society as the driest desert in the world.
