Assemble the phone into the prosthetic arm
A man in England has become the first patient in the world to have a smartphone grafted onto his prosthetic arm.
According to the Telegraph, Mr Trevor Prideaux in the city of Somerset, who was no congenital left arm, said he often had to balance the phone on prosthetic arm or put it on a flat surface to use.
But with the help of Nokia's medical specialists and technical experts, Prideaux can now send messages and call them easily from a phone that is attached to a fiberglass arm.
A faux leather arm rests on the phone, allowing Mr. Prideaux to work comfortably with the 'mobile phone' with his real arm.
"I think this is the first time this has ever been done in the world. The phone is snug and secure into my arm, and can be removed easily when needed, ' said Prideaux. "I think this will help many people with prosthetic hands, especially those who have congenital arms."
