Athlete suit helps carry hundreds of kilograms
Not only does it make it easier for people with disabilities to travel through electronic sensors, the HAL robot kit can also help people carry heavy objects hundreds of kilograms "light as pink".
The Hybrid Assistive Limb (HAL) is an electronic device with sensors capable of reading brain signals about direct movement through the skin. It promises to bring a lot of utilities for the disabled and the elderly who are unable to travel. By identifying the brain's signal through a skin sensor and a mechanical joint attached to the knee and thigh, it will help the person walk. Increasing muscle strength, this device helps people who have difficulty moving around like normal people.
HAL was mass-produced at Cyberdyne, a newly established company in Tsukuba, a suburb of Tokyo and distributed by Daiwa House Industrial Group.
Here are some demonstration images of special robot suits:
Hulk Assistive Limb robot costume (HAL) is designed to help people with disabilities move more easily and participate in everyday activities like normal people.
Through an active control system, this robotic suit can detect natural currents that pass through the skin surface, bringing information about the wearer's movements. The process of this robot appeared before the real movement of the body in less than a second.
HAL allows users to bring heavy objects up to 46 kg without difficulty.
In addition to supporting movement, this robot kit can also be used to rehabilitate injured people who use it during heavy labor or in disaster rescue missions.
The suit weighs about 23 kg with the battery pack can be used for 2 hours 40 minutes.
HAL robot kit is currently available in Japan but the manufacturing company said it will soon launch the market in the near future.
