Be a mother at 67!
(Photo: Getty Images, TTO) A 67-year-old Spanish woman has become the oldest mother in the world after the birth of two twins at a hospital in Barcelona.
The name of this woman was not disclosed. She became pregnant after being treated for infertility.
Hospital doctors Sant Pau said her two children - who had a caesarean section last morning - are being incubated in a glass cage. The hospital spokesman said both parents and children were healthy.
Previously, the woman who held the record for the oldest child was Adriana Iliescu, who gave birth to a daughter in January last year at age 66.
