The nebula of Abell 39 looks at first glance like a ghost. It is 5 light-years wide and fits within the Milky Way and is 7000 light-years away from the constellation Hercules. The Simeis Ruins 147 of this supernova explosion is 3,000 light-years away, 150 light-years wide and spread by 6 full moons in the sky. On the left is the Elnath star of the constellation Taurus.
