Big mouse like a cat raging in America

Giant Gambia rats are spawning rapidly on the Florida Keys in the southeastern United States, despite attempts to wipe them out for decades.

>>>Strange, like a bird

The mouse of African origin began arriving in the islands during 1999-2001 after a local animal breeder released 8 mice out of the wild.

Gambia bats are the largest mouse in nature ever known. They can be up to 92cm long and weigh more than 4kg, equivalent to a domestic cat. Environmental management officials are concerned that when giant rodents reach the mainland of the Florida bag, they will destroy the crop here.

The US Department of Agriculture has worked with Florida state officials to erase this frightening rodent, and estimates there are only a few dozen left. However, they can reproduce very quickly and pups can give birth as soon as they are 5 months old. After giving birth, Gambian mice only have to wait 9 months to continue to give birth. They raise 6 small children at the same time.
