Big storm devastated Florida

Early in the morning 2-2 (local time), when the local people were still asleep, a series of great storms and tornadoes suddenly swept through the devastating destruction in central Florida (USA). At least 14 people were killed when the storms destroyed dozens of homes in the towns of Lady Lake and Paisley, the areas most heavily damaged.

The wind of the storm was so strong that it lifted a truck trailer into the air and knocked down many houses to the ground. ' Even the big storms in the 2004 hurricane season are not so terrible, ' said an official at the emergency rescue center at Lady Lake.

The rescue workers are still digging through the wreckage to search for missing people. The storm also caused 20,000 local people to lose power.

Earlier, the US National Meteorological Agency issued a warning but the storm came too quickly. Current Florida governor Charlie Crist has declared a state of emergency in some areas of the region.
