This bio-chip is called the Droplet array , which can carry out the test with a very limited sample size.

Traditionally, traditional methods need to analyze at least 2,500 to 5,000 cells, whereas only 500 cells need to be screened.

The researchers used the Droplet array to study the effectiveness of anti-cancer drugs on cancer stem cells taken from breast cancer cells, liver cancer and colon cancer.

The breakthrough of this work will help screen and develop future anti-cancer drugs.
