Cancer tracking chip
Canadian scientists have successfully built a new chip that can determine the location of abnormal chromosomes in cancer patients. This is considered a breakthrough that helps treat this disease.
According to scientists, someday this new technology will allow doctors to make quick decisions and choose the best treatment for cancer patients.
The glass chip is a collaborative product of the University of Alberta research group and the Alberta Cancer Commission and many other engineers and researchers.
It costs about 100 Canadian dollars (94 USD), which is much cheaper than currently used cancer surveillance methods. It also showed earlier test results, within 24 hours compared to many days today.
