A mysterious fish with a reptile's head and fossilized scales is believed to have been caught by fishermen in the area of Arkhangelsk, northern Russia.

Fishermen throw nets to catch this strange mutant fish on the North Dvina River , near the Bereznik-Osinovo ferry, Arkhangelsk Oblast, RT on June 25 citing news in the local media.

Fishermen cannot determine which fish it belongs to.Its head is like a turtle's head, while scales are like fossils. It also has very sharp, thorny fins and a sucking mouth like fried fish.
Some people think it may be a rabbit fish , but that fish is a sea fish, not a river fish.
Many experts believe that the mysterious fish is a catfish protected by hard bone. But the species often lives in the Amazon River , so they do not understand why it appears in northern Russia.
This is not the first time strange fish appear in Arkhangelsk area. Last year, local fishermen caught a fish with a human-like tooth. Scientists speculate that it is a South American pacu fish - a type of piranha.
