Steel arch bridge across Truong Giang river with a length of over 11km will set the longest record in the world when completed.

The Changjiang River Bridge across the largest river in China, with a total length of 11,072m, is nearly 10 times longer than the Sydney harbor in Australia, Xinhua reported on October 24.

The video shared by Xinhua on Twitter records the process of closing steel arches on the bridge of Thien Sinh Cang, a section of the Truong Giang River Bridge, on October 22. The completion of the steel dome is an important step in the construction of the railway bridge - the road is expected to be completed in 2019, according to People's Daily Online.

The Changjiang River Bridge will become the world's longest steel arch bridge after completion.
