An egg-shaped nest of eggs is an unknown dinosaur.
Scientists in eastern China have discovered a whole new set of fossil dinosaur eggs. Notably, this is an unknown dinosaur in the world.
The umbrella-shaped egg nest was found in Han Ning district, Anhui province, believed to have been from the Cretaceous period, 100 to 66 million years ago. Information was published by Hefei 365. The egg nest is called the 'Umbrella' due to its special shape.
When found, the nest is in the middle of a red sandstone block dating back several million years. Mr. Huang Xue Dong and Wang Chiqiang from the local geological and archaeological agency posted their findings in the Chinese Journal of Science.
White chalk is the last geological period before the dinosaurs are completely extinct. Scientists say that this nest of dinosaur eggs helps them better understand the primitive world.
