Astronauts will be tasked with carrying out a test of joining the Shenzhou 9 ship with the Thien Cung 1. Thien Cung 1, China's first space station module, launched into orbit in September / 2011 It has now been lowered to an altitude of 343 km above the earth and operates normally.

Under the plan, Shenzhou 9 will be separated from the rocket nearly 10 minutes after being launched into space. Spacecraft will be on orbit with the lowest altitude of 200 km and the highest is 330 km.

The Shenzhou 9 ship and the Thien Cung 1 module connect, the two astronauts will temporarily move inside Thien Cung 1, where they will conduct scientific experiments. One person will stay in the airship in case of an emergency. Their eating takes place on the Shenzhou 9.
