However, these cups are a very dangerous source of hazardous for users. Because of this, the content of lead in this cup is at a record high level and causes many unpredictable risks for humans.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Deputy Director of Department of Product Quality Management (Ministry of Science and Technology) said: The Department has checked and sampled Chinese glass cup with vivid colors in the market. After that, we sampled and tested both inside and outside the glass cup surface. Test results show that there are lead and cadmium exposure products. In particular, there are the surface coatings containing the lead content exceeding the permitted level from 1,000 to 2,700 times.

The harmful effects of using these cups are not immediately manifested but in the long term, if accumulated in the body, it will cause incurable diseases of liver, kidney, heart, brain .

Currently, the Department of Product Quality Control has issued documents to local branches to advise consumers not to use colorful glass cups to ensure health.
