Chinese farmers discovered traces of black dragon on rocks

Residents of a Chinese village seem to be interested in seeing the fossil-like mark of the legendary black dragon.

Fossils like black dragon scales showed up after heavy rains in Yunnan, China on June 12. The giant stone where "dragon fossils" are mentioned is much in the local ancient stories, according to SCMP.

The Yunnan Provincial Web Portal said the Permian dating fossil, known by scientists as the "Terrible Death" occurred 251 million years ago, losing about 90% of the Earth. species live in the ocean and about 70% of terrestrial species.

Cultural experts came to the scene after the villagers said that part of the rock with black dragon fossils was stolen, even though they sent two guards.

Scientists are trying to convince the villagers that this is only a 30cm fossil of an ancient tree, not a legendary black dragon.

Previously, in this area, scientists also found fossils of wild boar and rhino living several million years ago and porcelain bowls from the Warring States Period (475-221 BC).
