The AP reported the melody of the song "America the Beautiful", which was played on the live television program of the Thien Cung module launch on the evening of September 29.

No one understands why CCTV chose "America the Beautiful" as the program's soundtrack. Some people think that Chinese TV channel producers probably don't think about the origin of the song. CCTV has not commented on this information yet.

First published in 1910, "America the Beautiful" is a very popular patriotic song in the United States. The popularity of the song increased dramatically after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. During many sporting events, people sang "America the Beautiful" after the national anthem.

The Heavenly-1 Module was launched from the Gobi desert of China on the evening of September 29. The launch is the country's first milestone in its ambition to build its own space station by 2020. Beijing considers the space station a symbol of China's global stature.
