Often the human voice is for entertainment purposes, the sound of birds is more like our voices, it is a form of communication of birds. However, the way the birds communicate is very different from that of humans, we will learn how the song is made and what it means.

How birds make singing

A bird can create its own music using a device called syrinx, or bird's tube . The larynx is an organ unique to the bird, similar to the human larynx. No other animal has this part.

Humans and most animals can make sounds through their larynx, which is where the vocal cords are located. Birds also have larynx, but they make sounds through their own voice, so birds can make special sounds.

The steward was named after a Greek god named Syrinx, who later turned into an instrument. The larynx works in a similar way to the larynx but has a number of other special abilities, such as allowing the bird to emit two notes at a time. That's why the sound of birds singing sounds like a piece of music.

Using the guise, birds can create melodious music from their songs and repeat like the prelude piece of a song. Birds can also make independent calls that are not musical or also birds that are not chirping, but others that have become famous due to their distinctive melody.

Like the way we learn to play music, most birds learn to sing by imitating others, memorizing and practicing. Most animals are born with all the sounds they need in life, but birds are like humans, they learn to sing the way we learn to say that.

The meaning behind the birds

Now that we know how we make songs, what do they mean? They have a number of different meanings that will surprise you.

1. Find a partner

Many birds only sing during the breeding season, most of which fall in the spring. That's why you often hear more birds in the spring, song is one way for birds to attract mates.

In many species, only males can sing. The singing of the male birds will show their longing to the females. Typically, the male bird will choose the highest tree branches as the stage so that its song can go farther away. However, during the mating ritual of some species, males and females will sing together a love song.

The song to find a partner will show that the singer is healthy and of mating age. Young birds will not be able to sing their melody successfully. And for species that have a habit of singing in a duet, singing together helps the couple to strengthen the bond between the two individuals.

2. Highlight territory

The song also represents the bird's territory and is also used to protect their territory. Birds can show their power by singing complicated songs or simply increase the volume to drown out the opponent's song. If a bird wants to take over another's territory, they will listen to the song to judge their opponent.

3. Communicate with eggs

Many birds sing to their eggs. And studies show that this phenomenon is not just about teaching birds that have not hatched to their tune. In some species, for example, it seems that parents use song to warn their children about climate change, including temperature changes, before the eggs hatch. The results of this study suggest that these songs may be an essential adaptation of birds.

4. Other meanings we do not yet know

There are many other theories about the meanings behind the song of birds but have not been confirmed by scientific research. For example, some hypotheses that birds sing simply because they like it. In fact, birds often sing at dawn and we have not been able to find a reason, but if we do, we probably will better understand their song.

The songs of birds are catchy, but if you listen carefully, you will realize that each of their songs is unique. No other animal has a smart tube, so no other bird can sing like a bird. And through their singing, birds can communicate not only with others, but with the next generation, even before the eggs hatch.
