CIA published documents about strange objects in the mid-20th century

The Central Intelligence Agency published a document confirming what was said to be an unidentified flying object (UFO) in the 1950s and 1960s, essentially a reconnaissance aircraft.

According to RT, the CIA published information on Twitter on December 29, with content acknowledging that the above reconnaissance programs have no secret purpose. Among the cases believed to be seeing strange objects from 1950-1960, more than half were aircraft.

The intelligence agency's 272-page document named "CIA and U2 program, stage 1954-1974" , describes reconnaissance missions at a height of more than 18,000m.

"The test height of the U2 program quickly led to unwanted side effects, which is the increase in the number of sightings in the sky," the IB Times reported in 1998. .

According to the CIA, many reports of UFO sightings during this time were made by commercial pilots. They are people who see high-altitude U2 aircraft, while flying at lower altitudes (about 12,000m). U2's silver wing parts reflect the sunlight and appear before the pilot's eyes like burning objects.

"At the time, no one believed that manned flights could reach a height of more than 18,000 meters. Therefore, no one expected to see an object at this height in the sky , " the report said. CIA wrote.

According to the statistics of research organizations, there are thousands of cases of recognition of the occurrence of UFOs every year. Although not yet explained by science, the unidentified flying object is still a topic of concern when many people claim to have seen them.
