Close-up of famous European ice men
Scientists have just taken a project to take 150,000 high-resolution photos of the Otzi gang, a stone warrior buried under ice for 5,300 years, from 12 different angles and posted on the Internet.
"Iceman" is considered one of the most important discoveries of world archaeologists in recent years. People built a museum for Otzi in Bolzano, Italy. Visitors watch prehistoric warriors through holes in a frozen room.
However, strict storage conditions prevent the public from reaching Otzi. So the photographic project of the Iceman photoscan was born.
The website containing Otzi images allows viewers to zoom in on every detail and admire the "mummy" in 3D graphics environment.
The remaining pieces of clothing on the "ice" body.
The zoom function allows viewers to see the tattoos on Otzi's body.
Scientists believe that the ice man is a warrior about 46 years old and has a height of 159 cm. This warrior died 5,300 years ago because of an arrow wound.
The project also created many 3D images of mummies. So viewers need 3D glasses to see.
