Due to the increase of cold air, provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien - Hue have moderate rain, heavy rain, and very big rain and thunderstorms. Be aware of flash flood, landslide and flooding; The Gulf of Tonkin and the waters off Central Vietnam have strong northeast winds of level 6, level 7, jerks on level 7, strong seas, the northern provinces are cold.

According to the Research Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, cold air continues to intensify to our country but will cause major rain in Central Vietnam. Many parts of Central Vietnam have showers and scattered thunderstorms, with moderate to heavy rain. There is a risk of flooding on rivers from Nghe An to Thua Thien - Hue. Mountainous areas have flash floods and landslides are very high.

Currently the flood waters of the Mekong River are rising, potentially reaching the highest peak of the year on October 16-18. Flood water level on Tien river in Tan Chau is likely at 3.9m, on Hau river in Chau Doc 3.2m, both lower than alarm level 3 of 0.3m and lower than the highest flood peak in 2006. 0.3-0.5m.
