Countries that produce the most emissions
The United States ranks second in the list of countries that produce the most emissions on the planet, ceding the top spot to China.
This is the latest result in the ranking of Maplecroft (UK), one of the world's leading risk management consulting companies. China's emissions are greater than the total emissions of Russia, India, Japan, Canada and Germany.
With 6,018 tons of annual emissions, China tops the Maplecroft rankings.
The United States ranked second with 5,903 tons of emissions.
Russia produces about 1,704 tons per year.
Each year India emits about 1,293 tons.
Japan's annual "output" is 1,247 tons.
Germany discharges about 858 tons / year.
Canada contributed 614 tons.
8th place belongs to England, with 586 tons.
