Create electricity from ... air

An Australian entrepreneur has the idea of generating clean, hot gas for household use, with the primary aim of creating a clean, safe and carbon-free energy source for the environment.

Roger Davey's plan was to build a giant solar tower 2,600 feet high in the Arizona desert. The tower has the ability to receive hot air streams that rotate 32 turbines, thereby generating mechanical energy. This mechanical energy is then converted into electricity.

Each such tower could generate an average of 200 megawatts of electricity per day, enough for 100,000 households.

"A big difference between a hot gas production and other methods is that it can generate electricity at any time because after the sun goes down, the ground continues to heat up, power continues. was created, " Roger Davey said.

The effectiveness of the method has been demonstrated by a pilot model located in the Spanish delta for the last 7 years. The miniature tower model generates 50 kilowatts of electricity per day, said the German construction contractor and partner of the company.

Hot gas will be built on cement and only lower than the Khalifa Burj skyscraper in Dubai, which can operate for 80 years, much longer than the life of a solar panel.

The total cost of the entire project is about $ 750 million.
