CreoPop - the pen can draw unique 3D models
A unique 3D pen can help you sketch lines easily in space.
3D brushes are not a new invention, WobbleWorks previously introduced 3Doodler pens with the same ability as a 3D printer, using hot glue to melt plastic, which can help you write in the air. However, the use of molten plastic as ink is still limited, such as high temperatures and unpleasant odors, as well as non-vivid colors.
Recently, CreoPop has introduced a completely new 3D pen model, using light-sensitive inks built with ultraviolet light to form lines in space. No more heating parts like other 3D pens make this CreoPop pen easy to use and comfortable.
CreoPop pen uses 3 ultraviolet light diodes, which have similar properties to normal sunlight to freeze the ink from the nozzle, forming 3D cubes. Using completely non-toxic inks, each CreoPop cartridge can draw a 14m straight line with a thickness of about 3mm.
Especially, the company has researched and manufactured many different types with unique properties to use for CreoPop pen. One of them is the ink that glows in the dark, and there are also inks that change color according to the temperature. Some other levels are fragrant, sparkling or elastic and can be painted on the whole body.
The pen does not have a power cord but uses an 800 mAh battery, can be charged via micro-USB port. The pen can be used continuously for 2 hours, but you can adjust the brightness of ultraviolet light to increase the time of use.
With a fairly large size (190 x 37 x 35mm), the pen can make it difficult for new users. However, removing the power cord also helps users feel more comfortable.
The CreoPop pen will be released on the 17th here at an estimated price of about 89USD in the US market. Each pen sold comes with 5 standard cartridges with different colors, each extra cartridge will cost 2USD (standard) and 3USD (premium). If following the schedule, the first shipment of the pen will be sold in the first quarter of 2015.
