Deadly roads
The road of death in Bolivia
The road north of Yungas is considered the most dangerous in the world. Running from Bolivian Andes, 70km from La Paz to Coroico, plunging nearly 3600m of extremely narrow, winding roads; and 800m of road near the abyss. Passing through this path is indeed a escape in a hairline. Every 2 weeks, a fatal incident occurred, 100-200 people died here every year. In 1995, North American Development Bank named "The most dangerous road in the world".
