Many people say they are unhappy on all days of the week, except Friday.

US scientists conducted a survey of over 340,000 people and found that Monday was no worse than other working days, except Friday.

The team of Professor Arthur Stone of Stony Brook University analyzed the data collected from phone interviews. The interviewees said that they felt more excited, happy and less stressed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Professor Stone also pointed out that so far, people hate the Monday because of the contrast between the mood from Sunday to Monday. Usually, the closer you get to the weekends, the more likely people are to be relaxed and happy, especially on Friday.

The author of the research paper published in the Journal of Positive Psychology on August 20 calls on people to abandon the concept of Monday 'suffering'.

Similarly, the West once had the last Monday concept of January as the gloomy day of the year. But now, this concept has been rejected by many studies.
