Họ cho rằng, đã là 'thiên sứ nhà trời', 'được chúa chọn' thì chỉ có ít người được hưởng vinh dự, chứ đâu có thể kết nạp tràn lan, cứ vào đến synagogue (nhà thờ Do Thái) là trở thành Do Thái ngay được.

Trong những điều kiện khắc nghiệt thời kỳ Đế quốc La mã là bá chủ khu vực Trung Đông, để tránh bị truy đuổi và tận diệt, người Do Thái buộc phải cải đạo sang đạo Thiên chúa. Tuy nhiên họ lại cải đạo trở lại thành người Do Thái khi điều kiện cho phép. Bản thân Hitler là người rất căm thù dân Do Thái, một cộng đồng đoàn kết nhưng sống tách biệt với người bản xứ. Trong con mắt Hitler, đã sinh ra là một người Do Thái thì sẽ luôn luôn là một người Do Thái, cải đạo chẳng giúp ích gì, và quyết truy sát 1 người nếu tìm được bằng chứng trước đó 4 đời họ là người Do Thái.

Tản mạn thay lời kết: Chuyện ăn uống và tố chất của người Do Thái

Đồ ăn Kosher (Kosher food) là đồ ăn được chế biến và ăn theo kiểu Do Thái. Đối với người Do Thái Chính thống, việc sử dụng Kosher là điều gần như bắt buộc, còn đối với người thế tục thì tùy lựa chọn. Các canteen phục vụ tai các cơ quan chính phủ Israel như Bộ Ngoại giao hay Bộ Quốc phòng nghiễm nhiên là các nhà hàng phục đồ ăn Kosher. Đồ ăn Kosher hiện ngày càng trở nên phổ biến tại Israel và trên khắp thế giới và không chỉ người Do thái chính thống mới dùng. Hiện nay, có 100.000 loại thực phẩm Kosher khác nhau được bán trên phạm vi toàn thế giới.

Vậy Kosher là gì và ăn như thế nào? Trong Halakha quy định rất rõ, chi tiết và khá phức tạp, nhưng chung quy lại có một số điểm chính:

Về các thức ăn Kosher:

1. Một số con vật ăn được: chỉ ăn những con vật có móng chẻ, ăn cỏ và nhai thức ăn lại như bò, dê, cừu. Các con vật không ăn được là lợn, ngựa, và lạc đà. Lợn tuy có móng chẻ nhưng không nhai lại, còn ngựa, lạc đà tuy ăn cỏ nhưng không có móng chẻ.
2. Ăn các loài có cánh như gà, vịt, ngỗng, bồ câu… Không ăn các loài chim ăn thịt như diều hâu, chim ưng, đại bàng.
3. Ăn các loài cá có vây và vẩy như các hồi, cá ngừ, cá trích… Không ăn các con cá không vảy như lươn, các trê, cá tầm, tôm, tép, nghêu sò, ốc hến, các loài bò sát, côn trùng.
4. Các thức ăn trung tính như trái cây, nước trái cây, ngũ cốc, trứng gà vịt, mật ong, rượu vang, chè, café.

Về cách ăn đồ Kosher:

1. Chỉ uống sữa và các vật phẩm chế biến từ sữa của các con vật Kosher như bò, dê, cừu. Chỉ được dùng sữa và các vật phẩm chế từ sữa 6 tiếng sau khi dùng thịt, hoặc 30 phút trước khi ăn thịt chứ không được ăn, uống đồng thời.
2. Đồ chế biến sữa và thịt, kể cả chậu rửa bát nhất thiết phải dùng riêng.
3. Lúa mì, gạo, và một số loại rau, củ nhất định thì ăn được. Không ăn, uống nước trái cây hoặc đồ chế biến từ các loại loại quả như cam, quýt, bưởi… dưới 3 tuổi.
4. Không ăn nội tạng động vật hay gia cầm; không ăn phần phía sau của con thú và không ăn thịt, cá đồng thời.
5. Khi ăn thịt phải lấy hết sạch máu và người chế biến phải học cách giết con vật sao cho con vật chết nhanh nhất, không đau đớn, nhưng lại ra được hết tiết. Thậm chỉ còn phải rửa sạch và ngâm miếng thịt trong nước 30 phút trước khi chế biến để ra hết máu.
6. Các nhà hàng Kosher nhất thiết phải do đầu bếp Do thái chính thống trực tiếp nấu nướng và bị phạt rất nặng, kể cả tước giấy phép kinh doanh, hành nghề nếu vi phạm.
7. Có lẽ trên thế giới không có dân tộc nào có kiểu ăn 'kiêng, khem' phức tạp và rườm rà như người Do Thái chính thống. Các nhà hàng phục vụ đồ ăn Kosher thường đắt hơn từ 20-30% so với nhà hàng thông thường, vậy mà lúc nào cũng đông khách ăn.

Theo tôi, đây không chỉ là đồ ăn kiêng của người Do Thái, mà THỰC CHẤT KOSHER LÀ ĐỒ ĂN, CÁCH ĂN THÔNG MINH, KHOA HỌC, THẬM CHÍ LÀ LÝ TƯỞNG không chỉ của người Do Thái, mà của con người nói chung. Nếu chỉ khuyên nhủ thông thường sẽ ít người theo, nhưng khi khoa học được 'phủ ' một lớp màu tôn giáo thì Kosher đã trở nên thành món ăn kỳ ảo, mê hoặc và quyến rũ.

Tạm cắt nghĩa một số thứ:

Theo người Do Thái, con vật cũng như con người đều có linh hồn. Nếu làm cho con vật chết đau đớn thì nó sẽ oán trách và cả người thịt lẫn người ăn nó đều bị 'quở phạt' . Do đó, giết nhanh để con vật mau chóng được hóa kiếp lên thiên đàng.

Khi con vật cắt được tiết nghĩa là con vật còn tươi, chứ không phải ăn đồ ôi. Thú tính và sự ngu muội của con vật nằm ở 'dòng máu' , và ăn thú vật hay gia cầm có tiết sẽ làm con người lâu dần nhiễm 'thú tính' và đầu óc trở nên trì độn, còn nòi giống đi đến chỗ thoái hóa.

Thịt ăn cùng với cá không còn tác dụng bổ dưỡng nữa, mà triệt tiêu lẫn nhau. Còn trái cây trong 3 năm đầu thường chứa nhiều chất, độc tố có hại cho cơ thể.

Uống sữa sau khi ăn thịt không tốt cho sức khỏe vì bản thân thịt nhiều chất đạm, lâu tiêu lại có thêm chất bổ dưỡng khác nữa làm cho cơ thể không thể hấp thụ nổi và dễ sinh bệnh.

Trong điều kiện thiên nhiên hết sức khắc nghiệt của vùng Bắc Phi – Trung Đông, việc ăn uống tốt giúp người Do Thái chống chọi tốt hơn với khí hậu khắc nghiệt, làm cho không chỉ thể trạng khỏe khoắn mà trí tuệ của họ cũng hơn người. Các cụ nhà ta chả nói bệnh vào từ mồm đó sao?

Như vậy, trải qua cả ngàn năm, với cuốn Kinh Thánh Hebrew, người Do Thái không chỉ thành công trong việc bảo tồn, mà còn phát triển bản sắc, văn hóa, tôn giáo của mình. Không những vậy, thông qua ăn uống, cuộc sống tinh thần lành mạnh, làm cho 'gene Do Thái' vốn đã ưu việt, ngày một trở nên ưu việt hơn. Khác với các tôn giáo khác, người Do Thái không tìm cách phát triển tôn giáo của mình qua con đường truyền đạo như Đạo Hồi, Đạo Thiên chúa, hay Đạo Phật, mà tìm cách giữ sao cho Do Thái giáo càng 'thuần khiết' càng tốt. Phải chăng những người được Chúa 'chọn mặt gửi vàng' đâu có thể phát triển tràn lan được!

Có lẽ chính vì vậy mà cách đây từ trên 3.000 năm Nhà tiên tri Moses của người Do Thái đã lường trước điều này khi ông, ngay từ khi đó, đã hình dung ra rằng nếu người Do Thái làm theo các lời răn dạy của ông thì họ sẽ trở thành đối tượng bị săn đuổi và tận diệt của nhiều sắc dân khác và vì vậy đã chuẩn bị cho họ hành trang đầy đủ trong cả ngàn năm thiên di trước khi 'trở về Jerusalem' . Điều ngạc ngạc nhiên là người Do Thái không than thân, trách phận mà họ coi đó là 'sự thử thách' của Chúa trời đối với dân tộc Do Thái!
