Detecting lizard-legged lizards
Scientists say four new species of lizards have been discovered, but in particular they have no legs, in California.
Four newly discovered lizards are not solid. They have moving eyelids, so the eyes can blink and there is no way to peel skin like a snake. These four new lizard species are as small as a pencil and no more than 20cm long.
To find this lizard species, the researchers placed thousands of cardboard plates in various locations. This lizard species, though living in the ground, sometimes appears on the ground in cool, damp, woody pieces.
In four new lizard species, Anniella alexandera e has a silver belly, yellow belly Anniella campi , purple Anniella grinnelli and the fourth species Anniella stebbinsi . UPI news agency said their names were named after a scientist at UC Berkeley.
