An epidemiologist at the Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention has discovered the nucleic acid of a new strain of coronavirus (2019-nCoV) on the door handle of a patient infected with the virus. The information was published by Zhang Zhoubin, vice president of the center, Sina reported today (February 3).

"This is the first time researchers in China have detected nCoV in the outside environment, previous studies showing that the virus is mainly through saliva," Zhang said. Experts have now taken nCoV's nucleic acid to the central laboratory to conduct research and evaluation.

Experts recommend that people regularly clean and limit direct contact with public objects to avoid the risk of cross-contamination, some outside environments are at high risk of transmitting viruses such as phones, computer keyboards , valve.

Earlier, Xinhua cited research by experts in China that the new strain of corona virus can be transmitted from the gastrointestinal tract. They found the virus's nucleic acid in the patient's rectum and rectum after finding the initial signs of some cases of diarrhea rather than high fever, as is common.
