Detection of large fossil skeletons

On the morning of June 14, people in Dien Ky and.Hien Chau and Nghe An communes, when digging wells to get water, discovered a strange fossil skeleton.

Mr. Nguyen Van Toan lived in hamlet 6, Dien Ky commune said that on the morning of June 14, he hired people to dig wells in his garden. When digging 4m, there is a white block, very hard, quite strange shape.

Tested, Toan and everyone found out that this was a fossilized skeleton.

The skeleton has many bones, each about 35cm in diameter and 30cm long. The skeleton has fossilized, very hard. Some bone fragments have been put up with a fan-shaped shape.

In the afternoon of the same day, exchanging with PV, Mr. Nguyen Duc Kiem, Deputy Director of Nghe An Museum, said that after receiving the information, the museum proposed H.Hien Chau Culture-Sport-Tourism Department suspend digging for specialized agencies to check, then there will be next options.

Mr. Kiem also identified the possibility that this is a whale skeleton because this area is located near the Bung river basin to the sea.
