"I am ambitious to study the turtle gene, but there is no budget," said Professor Le Tran Binh, Institute of Biotechnology. "At the time of the turtle's gene I am still holding it. Professor Mai Dinh Yen, vice president of Vietnam Ecology Association, said that there may still be other turtles and species of Hoan Kiem turtles in Vietnamese territory not yet found.

Sword lake turtle is a female and is considered by the local scientists as a completely new species in Vietnam. Meanwhile, foreign scientists said that this turtle has the same species in Dong Mo (Hanoi) and Shanghai (China).

Turtles earlier this year were brought ashore to treat body ulcers for more than three months. After that Turtle was returned to the natural environment in the lake, where many fish were stocked for food.
