Dinosaurs 'love' soon

Dinosaurs started making " sex " from before they were really mature about the body, just like humans.

In birds, sex only begins when they reach their maximum adult size. Meanwhile, humans as well as crocodiles, lizards, snakes, sexual activity begin immediately after puberty but before the maximum physical development.

To find out when dinosaurs began sex, researchers at the American Museum of Natural History in New York and colleagues studied seven dinosaur fossils buried while hatching eggs. They include 4 oviraptorids - small beaks, and 3 deinonychosaurs - carnivorous dinosaurs longer than 3 m with big sickle claws on their legs.

After four years of research, they found that five dinosaurs had reached their maximum adult size, but the other two did not, of which one was oviraptorid and the other was deinonychosaur. In other words, they have been sexually active before becoming " adults ".

Knowing when dinosaurs began to do so will help to better understand the physical characteristics that work in flirting and attracting mate in this primitive creature.
