Koh Tachai, one of the beautiful islands considered as "tourist paradise" in Thailand, will be closed indefinitely due to the overcrowding of tourists .
Koh Tachai Island
The island is located off Phang Nga province which is part of Similan National Park . Most of the parks will be closed from mid-May to October due to the monsoon season, then reopen. Koh Tachai will close indefinitely, according to Bangkok Post.
The reason, according to Thai authorities, the number of tourists rushing to the island is too crowded, negatively affecting natural resources and the environment.
