In the past, people in the Hawaiian and American islands raised chickens for meat and eggs. Later in 1992, due to the impact of a major storm, many chickens evacuated and lived in the natural environment until now. (Photo: suburbanmisfit)

Okunoshima is also known as rabbit island in Japan . No one lives on the island due to fear of a chemical weapons factory with the toxic gases that Japanese troops built during World War II.

After the war ended, rabbits, which were experimental objects, were released and lived in the island to this day. The number of rabbits increased rapidly. Every year, every time they come to the island, tourists often bring food and play with the rabbits. (Photo: prafulla)

Tashirojima is also known as cat island , in Ishinomaki city, Miyagi prefecture, Japan. The island has more cats than humans. People living here believe that raising cats will bring good luck and wealth. There are only about 100 people on the island, most of them elderly. Previously, people in the island mainly bred silkworms, and the cats they raised were to kill rats (silkworms are the favorite food of mice). Cats also help people sell silk in the mainland. Offshore fishing fishermen look at their behavior to forecast the weather before going to sea, so they think the bumper times are thanks to cats. More and more tourists and cat lovers come to this island every year. (Photo: buzzfeed)
