Instead of calling "crack, crack" , the Atlantic Coast leopard frog (Rana kauffeldi) is located in the Great Swamp National Reserve in Morris County, New Jersey state, America moans and emits sounds like coughs. . The Courier-Post of Cherry Hill newspaper said a team of experts from Rutgers University in the United States published the Atlantic coastal leopard frog in an electronic science magazine. Experts say that the discovery of new frogs shows the value of wetlands in the state of New Jersey to wild nature.

Atlantic coastal leopard frogs are distributed elsewhere in the United States - including areas along the Delaware River, the Atlantic Coast, the Meadowlands region and Staten Island of New York.
