'Dissection' wireless charging technology

Currently, each individual often has many devices such as computers, phones, music players . and dozens of chargers with cordless wires. However, this inconvenience will no longer occur when using wireless charging. This technology allows, users only need a single battery charger to charge multiple devices at the same time.

Not too complicated

According to Dr. Phung Anh Tuan, Department of Electrical and Electronics Equipment, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, recently, many electronics companies have simultaneously announced that they will be able to launch cordless battery chargers for electricity. Voice, camera, laptop . Even this technology allows multiple devices to charge at the same time.

In Vietnam, this time has not directly produced wireless charging, however, some wireless charging models have started to " show up " in the Vietnamese market. The advantage of this device is compact, convenient without wires and can be used for many devices at the same time.

Wireless charging, users only need to place the device on the rack, not the jack.

Dr. Tuan explained in principle, wireless charging technology is not too complicated. It is operated like a transformer with two coils. The transmitter has a coil and the receiver also has another coil. The difference from transformers is that these two coils are located on two different devices. Energy is transmitted from the source device to the device to be charged as electromagnetic waves according to magnetic resonance principle.

" Currently, this technology is commonly applied to gamut of capacity under a few dozen watts and used for small capacity devices such as phones and computers. Foreign scientists are implementing to develop technology. This is a higher capacity such as wireless transmission for televisions, refrigerators . even for cars, "said Tuan.

Notice the safety

Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Trung, former head of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications, Hanoi University of Technology, said whether it is wireless or wired, there must be a method of connecting by electromagnetic or optical waves. However, optical connection method has very low capacity so it is likely that people will use electromagnetic waves.

" The important thing is that electromagnetic waves spreading into the environment can affect human health. These devices need to be carefully considered for safety to avoid unnecessary consequences. for human health , "said Dr. Trung.

At the same point, Dr. Tuan said, this technology is still being studied and monitored to ensure safety for users. Affecting people standing in the middle of a wireless stream is still an unanswered question.

" At present, the world still has no concrete results on how wireless power waves affect human health, but still warn can affect health such as headaches, encephalitis . ", Dr. Tuan recommended.

According to experts, Vietnam can completely manufacture wireless charging products. However, which product will be used for which type of device, how much the performance will be, how big the size is, how safe it will be to wait for the answer of the future.
