Do not drink alcohol or beer easily ... die early

Buisiness Insider magazine has just published a new study showing that people who drink alcohol regularly are less likely to die earlier than abstainers.

The head of the research project is psychologist Charles Holahan of the University of Texas, USA. Scientists have concluded that the highest risk of premature death is that of people who have not drank alcohol or beer after all, then those who drink too much and eventually, who drink moderation will live the longest.

The study was conducted with many subjects from 55 - 65 years old, in different industries, economic status, lasting for 20 years.

Of the 1,824 participants, only 41% of those who drank moderately died prematurely, while the figure for those who never drank was 69%. Even alcoholics are less at risk when only 60% of them die early.

The study also includes deaths from cirrhosis, liver cancer or drunken accidents. However, even so, the number of people who drank alcohol soon died.

According to Business Insider, alcohol is " a great social catalyst , creating strong social links from which to enhance the spiritual and physical life for drinkers".
