DoorBot - smart doorbell
For the purpose of bringing home or even home users safety, the inventors of the Edison Elementary Concept Labs (USA) have launched the DoorBot It's like a doorbell, but it can transmit audio and video to your mobile phone through a Wi-Fi connection wherever you are.
Accordingly, the product is made of high density polymer materials with aluminum surface. DoorBot is equipped with an infrared camera that supports day and night video recording, is firmly fixed on the door and can withstand all weather conditions. The power supply of the device is provided by 4 AA batteries, enough for it to work well for a year.
When guests arrive home and press the button on DoorBot, all camera-backed images and sounds will be transmitted to mobile devices using iOS or Android operating systems of the host through Wi- fi. In addition, DoorBot is also compatible with Lockitron, a device that allows users to open or lock the remote door with a smartphone, making it easy for homeowners.
Currently, the product is in the finishing phase and is expected to be available in the market in July 2013 for $ 169 or $ 319 for the Lockitron version.
