Video: Smart earrings monitor physical fitness
This Ear-o-Smart earrings connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth, monitor heart rate, calorie consumption, fitness level. It applies optical technology to measure volumetric variability (photoplethysmogram, PPG) similar to those of a fitness bracelet, a smart watch to measure heart rate through blood flow.
The Ear-o-Smart group is raising capital on Kickstarter start-up page and will have products in June 2015. The price of a Ear-o-Smart earring is US $ 125 or US $ 150. They also sell DIY kits for $ 150 so users can buy gems and jewels to make their own smart earrings.
