Egypt discovered nearly 60 mummies during the New Kingdom period
A group of archaeologists from the Swiss University of Basel has discovered a large tomb area containing nearly 60 mummies dating from the 18th ancient Egyptian dynasty of the New Kingdom era (1590-1078). BC).

In a press release on April 27, Egyptian Minister of Antiquities Mohamed Ibrahim said the above royal mummies were unearthed in a tomb area carved deep in stone in the Valley of the Kings, the way of defense. Cairo capital about 700km to the south.

The head of the Swiss archaeological team, Egyptologist Helena Ballin, said the tomb contains mummies of babies and a large collection of burial items.
According to Ms. Ballin, the initial study results showed that the tomb area was dug up by the thieves many times since ancient times, and was used by priests as a burial place.
