Elon Musk wants to bomb Mars, turning into a place where people can stay
In a personal Twitter post, billionaire Elon Musk said he wanted to transform Mars by using nuclear weapons. This is not the first time Musk has talked about using thermonuclear weapons with the red planet.
In 2015, during the "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" program , Musk came up with the idea of using thermonuclear weapons to transform Mars into a place where humans could live. To do this, he will have to release as many greenhouse gases as possible.

"The fastest way to warm up Mars is to drop fusion weapons at the poles, " Elon Musk said.
Musk adds the creation of two miniature "suns" on the poles that will evaporate water that is trapped in the ice at the poles of Mars. At the same time, it also releases CO2 into the atmosphere and creates a greenhouse effect on the planet.
However, NASA research in 2018 showed the opposite result. Research shows that the generated CO2 quickly escapes from the atmosphere. Therefore, there will not be enough CO2 needed to be retained on Mars to produce the desired effect.
"This method cannot be used to transform Mars , " said one researcher.
