Establishing a center for communication on nuclear power

According to the plan this year, Vietnam 's first nuclear power communication center will be put into operation, in order to disseminate knowledge in easy-to-understand images to the people.

Talking to PV, Mr. Pham Quang Trung, Deputy Director of Atomic Energy Department, Ministry of Science and Technology, said the center will be built at Hanoi University of Technology.

"The center will help disseminate knowledge about nuclear power - a new field in Vietnam, in the context of Vietnam preparing to build the first nuclear power plant," Trung said.

Nuclear power communication center is supported and sponsored by Russian Atomic Energy Group Rostatom. This project is part of a nuclear power communication project developed by the Atomic Energy Agency and awaiting approval from the Government.

It is expected that there will be a nuclear power communication center in the south in the future.

Vietnam's first nuclear power project is expected to be located in Ninh Thuan province, including two factories with a total capacity of 4,000 MW. The plan is to start plant 1 in 2014 and start generating electricity in 2020. Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear power plant will use Russian technology. The National Assembly of Vietnam has approved the policy of investing in the construction of nuclear power plants.
