The tomb was found during the excavation of the ruins in Perperikon, an ancient city located in southern Bulgaria, near the Greek border. The city dates back to about 5,000 BC, but was discovered only 20 years ago.

The skeleton belonged to a man about 40-50 years old and had a metal rod pierced through his chest. The left leg is separated and buried next to the skeleton. The tomb dates from the first half of the 13th century.

According to Professor Nikolai Ovcharov, an archaeologist has devoted his life to discovering the mystery of ancient civilizations, this is a rite of anti-vampire burial . The metal bar that pierces the chest will prevent bad people from returning from the dead and threatening the living. This form is applicable to people who die from unusual causes.

Telegraph said that in 2012 and 2013, archaeologists had discovered two similar graves in the town of Sozopol, east of the old city of Perperikon of Bulgaria. They are called " twin vampires in Sozopol".

The title has been changed.
