Farmers successfully built the mat weaving machine

After many years of research, Mr. Tran Van Phong (42 years old) and Dang Van Nguyen (50 years old), in Village 7, Nga Lien Commune, Nga Son District (Thanh Hoa Province) successfully built a mat weaving machine, with many Superior features compared to imported machines.

The mat weaving machine made by these two farmers consists of main parts such as: jute roller rolling, sedge, table top, etc. The frame of the machine is made of wood and functions to reduce noise. , both reduces vibration when the machine is operating. The projector is fitted with a 1.1 Kw type electric motor, which is easy to operate, with a high safety factor. The weaving capacity of the machine every day (for 8 hours) is between 12 and 13 mats, six times more than manual weaving.

In particular, while imported woven weaving mats are only projected to have a width of 1.1 m, the machines made by them are woven with a width of 1.2 m. The price of each projector is about VND 20 million. Currently, the mechanical workshop of Mr. Phong and Mr. Nguyen are focusing on producing mat weaving machines to hand over to 50 customers in the first order district.

It is known that, in the coming time, these two farmers will continue to research and improve the mat weaving machine to be more and more complete, able to weave a kind of mat with a width of 1.5 m and weave the continuous, the leaves self-rolling, self-release mats (similar to fabric weaving machines), helping farmers in the sedge mat production area to increase labor productivity, creating many high-value export products.
