Farmers invented a transplant machine to help their wife with the farm work
The farming machine of the old farmer in Ninh Binh can work 5 times more than a skilled transplant worker.
From the discarded scrap pile, farmer Vu Van Dung (54 years old, in Yen Mac, Yen Mo, Ninh Binh communes) has successfully built a rice transplanting machine with no motive to help farmers reduce costs and reduce difficulties on these country wings
Dung is a motorbike repairman. Not going to any school but over 20 gives him a lot of practical knowledge about mechanics. The house has 5 sao of rice, because working as a motorbike repairer takes up all the time, he cannot help his wife with farm work."Seeing his wife all year round, his hands and feet were muddy, especially in every transplanting season, I started the idea of making a rice transplanting machine to help her to work hard and reduce cultivation costs , " said Dung. .
Mr. Dung is the "brainchild" that he took years to invent.(Photo: Phuong Vy).
Three years ago, Mr. Dung started to implement the idea."At first, everyone thought that I was not normal because they thought, only scientists could invent modern machines. Moreover, every implant needed an engine, and I went in the direction. Other " , he said and said that he ignored many detractors, he was still determined to realize the idea.
After studying for a year, Mr. Dung has not produced the desired device. Just after drawing the model and erasing it because it was not true to the idea, he had to do it again. The whole student notebook he drew was the model, the part of the implant. He plunged into researching online documents and even forgot to eat and neglect the work he was doing. At times, he thought he was silently thinking, his wife thought that he was really lost. Many nights sleeping while thinking about the idea that he had a good time, he got up and took notes and drew it again to make it work in the morning.
Two years from the day I started studying the non-engine implant, the drawing and details of this unique machine were finally born."Thinking about the drawing takes a long time, but it is much more difficult to start working on it. From choosing materials, measuring to joining the details, all must be done, the new machine will work. " Mr. Dung added.
Throughout the day, Mr. Dung fumbled for drawing and cutting welding to perfect the implant in a more sophisticated way.(Photo: Phuong Vy).
Although it was difficult for the 54-year-old man to give up, he became even more enamored. Just correct it again, until October 2015 the "spirit child" was born. Dung's non-motorized implant is made up of 3 parts, including a tray for plating, a hand-pull and a gripping frame. Plating tray is made of anti-rust corrugated iron, small U-type steel frame, 45-degree slant design so that it can automatically flow down to the grille frame. When the hand pulls to work, it will pull the plating frame to it. For each of the 4 one-studded seedlings, it will be put into the right position and the stamping frame will serve as the hand of the person putting the plating on the ground.
"Completing the machine, I was extremely happy. I took it to my farm to test it right away. The yield was 5 times more than the transplanting hand because the primer was injected, the machine implanted 4 plated plants. Hand fatigue and can adjust the speed quickly at will, " Dung said. Seeing his device work effectively, people around the area came to see if everyone was surprised and demanded to buy the first thing he had to ship.
The advantage of non-motor implant is that it is not fuel-efficient, plated in straight line, the distance between the plating base is fixed to 18cm. The machine weighs only 25-30kg so it is easy to transport, repair, use on many types of soil with a yield of one sao per hour of work.
After successfully building the non-engine implant machine, Mr. Dung made hundreds more products to market. The price of each machine is VND 4 million, except for all costs, he earns about VND 2 million. Initially his machine was only sold in the village, then in the province but now many people in other provinces come to order. One day he sold dozens of implants.
In addition to the non-motorized implant, Mr. Dung also built many modern machines for agriculture such as lathes, welding machines, banana slicers . (Photo: Phuong Vy).
In order to meet the number of orders, Mr. Dung has to take a break from repairing motorbikes to focus on producing non-motorized implants. He also invested more machines such as cutting machines, lathes, welding machines . for production.
In addition to successfully manufacturing non-motorized rice transplanters, Dung uses old motor motors to make and make many other machines such as water pumps, tractors, banana slicers .
At the VIII Ninh Binh Technical Innovation Contest (2014-2015), Mr. Dung was honored to receive two consolation prizes for the invention of the multi-purpose plow machine and his non-motorized implant.
