Fat women control poor desire

Picture 1 of Fat women control poor desire A new study shows that women's ability to control impulsivity and desire is poorer than women with normal weight. This situation does not happen in the world of men.

Psychologists at the University of Alabama (USA) study the difference in the process of controlling desire between fat people and people with normal weight. 95 people both men and women participated in the experiment.

The team offers a situation whereby volunteers will receive a $ 1,000 reward immediately. But if someone waits for another 2 weeks, a month, 6 months, 3 years or 10 years, the bonus amount will increase (the maximum is 50,000 USD). Experts then asked volunteers to make their decisions.

The results show that, among women who want to receive money right away, the number of fat people is four times greater than that of people with normal weight. If calculating in the group of fat women, the number of people who want to receive immediately is the majority. Among men who want to receive money immediately, the number of overweight people and people with normal weight is approximately equal.

Many previous studies have shown that intelligence and income levels are related to the level of human rush. However, the results have not changed when the experts calculated the differences in intelligence and annual income of volunteers.

Dr. Rosalyn Weller, a member of the research team, said men and women have a big difference in their ability to control their appetite. Some previous tests have shown that people who are unable to control their appetite often have higher weight levels than average and are also more likely to gain weight. Men curb the desire to eat better than women.

'Our research shows that fat men control their desire better than fat women. In fact, overweight men rarely suffer from negative consequences related to curbing desire than fat women , "Weller added.
