If it is planned, Firefox 2.0 will be completed in March this year and the official version will be completed by mid-summer.

Goodger also added some new features to be included in Firefox 2.0 this time as the user interface will be further improved to create a new look or spell check features for Web mail or HTML-based applications.

Firefox 2.0 will still be developed based on the same Gecko platform in Firefox 1.5. This means that the browser will remain as compatible as it is today. Some APIs will be added but there will be almost no changes.

' From the developer's point of view, our idea is to want Firefox 2.0 to bring users new improvements in browser usage thanks to stable rendering engines that contribute to the development refitted the browser in version 3.0 . '

The browser's bookmark management capabilities will also be improved to increase speed and openness and usability. The tabs will be more like browser windows and users will be able to impact them more than simply re-ordering as in Firefox 1.5. Firefox 2.0 will also improve the ability to handle Atom or RSS feeds .
