First size intellectual capacity ratio

The international team of scientists said the intellectual abilities of Alzheimer's patients depend on their head circumference. The bigger the head circumference, the higher the intellectual capacity.

Brain size affects the intellectual ability of Alzheimer's patients.

German, British and American scientists chaired by Dr. Robert Perneski of Munchen University conducted a study on 270 people who were confused (Alzheimer's disease) to examine which factors affect their ability. awareness. They tested intellectual ability first of all the memory of these patients. They measured the head circumference and photographed brain scans on magnetic resonators to assess the degree of shrinkage of gray matter.

The results show that, when the same level of neurons shrinks, the larger the head circumference patients, the higher the cognitive ability. If the head circumference increased by 1 cm, the test result of memorization increased by 6%, the circumference increased by 2 cm, the memorization capacity increased by 12% .

As we know, the head size of babies and their brain volume are not proportional to each other. In adults, the ratio between head size and body size is 1.7 to 1.8 while this indicator in newborns is only 1.4.

Sometimes for the elderly in their 60s, the index declines and the brain shrinks by only 93% of its volume when they are middle-aged. According to Dr. Robert Perseski, the risk of Alzheimer's disease is greatly influenced by the development of the brain in the womb compared to when it was born.

Every year, the number of Alzheimer's patients in the world increases to about 30 million people, mainly in developed countries. Patients with dementia, loss of thinking ability, social habits, may lose both personal hygiene habits and severe patients who cannot live independently without the help of people who are always in next.

Even people who are young may have Alzheimer's disease, but when the age is high, the number of patients increases rapidly. At the age of 65 or older, the number of patients is doubling every 5 years. At age 95, 69 people are sick for every 100 people.

There are currently no drugs to treat Alzheimer's disease, and even the slowing of the disease does not exist.
