Photographer Edie Bresler discovered the body of a fish with rough skin on the coast of Padre Island, Texas, USA, Fox News on June 20 reported. She could not determine which animal it was, and sent it to Padre Island National Park.
"I went and explored the beach so many times that it was very interesting to encounter a strange creature like this. It was even more interesting when I brought the photos to the park managers and they were also confused. tangled, "Bresler recounted.
After carefully studying and comparing images with many scientific documents, they determined that this is thick-tailed bat fish . This species usually lives at a depth of 180 - 365 m, where there are many strange sea creatures, the park representative said.
Bats use the pectoral fins as their feet to crawl under the sea, eat worms, small crustaceans and fish. They live completely in the dark. Big eyes are useful in avoiding lantern fish or other predators.
